BYZANTINE ARCHITECTURE
It originated chiefly in Constantinople (Istanbul), the ancient Greek town of Byzantium, which the Roman emperor Constantine chose in 3th century as his new capital (Constantinople). The Byzantine Empire continued for almost 1000 years after the collapse of the Western Roman Empire in 476 d.C.
